When the water temperature is below 15°... It’s time to winter the pool.
Against algae growth and calcium deposits.
Allows easy spring pool cleaning.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Winter the pool when the water temperature not exceed 15 °C
- Don't empty the pool to protect the construction and ensure its watertightness.
- Use a cover to avoid contaminants inside the pool (dust, leaves, insects, etc...). These covers also function as safety elements.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY POOL IS EQUIPPED WITH A SALT WATER CHLORINATOR?
At low temperatures, the efficiency of the system decreases because the conductivity of the water is reduced. The electrolysis equipment suffers and loses its usefulness.
When the water temperature drops below 15°C, it is best to turn off the salt chlorination system. This extends the life of the equipment and optimises the life of its cell by reducing wear and tear.
To effectively maintain your saltwater pool during the winter, follow the steps below:
- Disconnect the saltwater chlorination equipment.
- Change the position of the bypass valves so that the pool water continues to filter without passing through the cell.
- Clean the cell: Remove the cell and clean it with a specific product to remove any encrustations that may have adhered to the plates. This will ensure that it is in perfect condition. Completely immerse the cell plates in PM-142 CELNET for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse well with water.
- Follow the standard winterization treatment
WINTERIZING THE POOL IN 7 STEPS
1. CLEAN THE POOL, brush the walls and vacuum the bottom.
2. Thoroughly clean the filter (FILTER BACKWASH).
3. Check and adjust pH between 7.0 and 7.2.
4. After 24 hours, perform a shock chlorination with 1kg/50m3 of CHLORINE GRANULES.
5. Add 1l/100m3 of ANTISCALE NO-PHOS directly into the pool to prevent calcium deposits.
6. Add 1l/10m3 of IVERNET or IVERLINER and filter the pool water for 8 hours.
7. Schedule filtration 2 hours/day and place a chlorine tablet in each skimmer.
If you want to leave the pool without filtering, we recommend using IVERFILTER. This product prevents the filter sand from compacting and becoming infected.
