The difficult situation of drought, due to the lack of rain, means that we are increasingly concerned about saving water. That is why it is important to follow these tips for responsible and efficient pool water consumption.

WATER LEAKS
The first step in optimising water use is to make sure you don't lose water.
• Leak detection in the pool and hydraulic circuit: the pool has to be emptied and now it is not convenient.
• Aqua-Stop: Product to plug pores or small cracks on the surface or in the hydraulic circuit of the pool.
• Selector Valve: Check the watertightness of the selector valve and install a safety valve in the drain.
EVAPORATION
Evaporation is one of the main causes of water loss, caused by climatic factors such as wind and heat, and can account for 60% of total water loss.
Pool covers: Act as a barrier against wind and sun, thus reducing the amount of water that evaporates.
OUR RECOMMENDATION: Prevent evaporation and water loss with a cover. It doesn't matter if you have a manual or automatic system. The important thing is that the surface is covered. You will save water and chemicals because the pool will stay cleaner.
CHEMICAL SATURATION
Use QUALITY PRODUCTS and your pool water will last for many more years.
CYANURIC ACID: Chlorine contains a stabiliser that increases its permanence against solar radiation, but which accumulates in the water, reducing the disinfectant capacity of the chlorine. It is recommended that cyanuric acid levels should not exceed 75 ppm. The only way to remove cyanuric acid is to renew the water.
OUR RECOMMENDATION:
• Reduce chemical consumption with supplementary equipment: UV equipment, Pool Tiger.
• Use disinfectants that do not generate by-products:
Manual dosing: calcium hypochlorite, oxygen, bromine.
Automatic systems: Salt equipment.
FILTRATION
One of the main reasons for water consumption in a swimming pool is FILTER CLEANING, which has to be done regularly and involves throwing away dirty water and replacing it with new water.
Water consumption will depend on the time and frequency of cleaning. One way to save water is to optimise filter washes.
OUR RECOMMENDATION:
Use a robot pool cleaner:
• The robot retains the dirt in its own internal filter and returns the clean water to the pool. As a result, we obtain a double filtration and save water in the cleaning of the filter, as well as chemical products.
Includes a cyclonic pre-filter between the pump and the filter (HYDROSPIN):
• It significantly reduces the quantity and size of the particles that reach the filter, reducing both the frequency of filter washing and the average water consumption during this process.
Replaces filter sand with activated glass (AFM):
• Higher particle retention capacity which reduces the number of cleanings required and lower water consumption in the cleaning process thanks to its higher permeability.
